As well as other consultancy work over the first quarter of 2009 Sigma-X have analysed, designed and drawn the post tensioned floors for three structures in England - that works out at one structure per month.  Because we specialise in the analysis, design and drawing of post tensioned floor slabs and because we have developed a highly automated analysis and design process we delivered the complete design and drawings for each post tensioned floor, on average, every 5 working days.

The structures included two post tensioned flat slabs, the largest of which was 6 floors with a floor area of 13500 square meters, and a structure with beam and slab post tensioned floors which had spans in excess of 18 meters. 

The post tensioning and mild steel quantities made the floors of the structures very economical compared to other methods of construction. 

All of these consultancy projects were finished ahead of schedule.
