Sigma-X Post Tension Floor is used exclusively by our consultancy division to design and analyse post tensioned floor slabs. This product has been used to design several post tensioned floors in both Ireland and the UK.
Sigma-X Post Tension Floor uses both the design strip (DS) method and finite element (FE) method to analyse and design post tensioned flat and post tensioned beam and slab configurations.
The design strip module of Sigma-X Post Tension Floor optimises the design process such that the most efficient tendon profiles are generated for any given slab configuration thus quickly providing the engineer with a very competitive design in terms of tendon rates, mild steel rates and floor depth. This module is very useful for estimating.
The finite element module of Sigma-X Post Tension Floor is used to perform a detailed analysis of the floor slab. As the tendon arrangements and profiles have already been determined using the design strip module the engineer can use the finite element module to quickly model and design the slab exactly as it is drawn in AutoCAD.
All the usual features of a windows based engineer product are included in Sigma-X Post Tension Floor such as undo/redo, import/export to CAD, quality mesh control, fast Sloane finite element solver, easy to use drawing facilities. Of particular benefit is our report writing module. In essence Sigma-X Post Tension Floor produces any report required by the client in pdf format accurately and quickly.
