Sigma-X distributes the advanced structural engineering finite element program STRAP and the geotechnical engineering software suite GEO5 throughout the United Kingdom and Ireland
STRAP is an advanced finite element structural engineering analysis and design software program. It is developed by Atir Engineering Software and is one of the UK's most popular and productive structural engineering programs. It has been used to design some of the UK’s most prestigious structures including the Queen Elizabeth II Bridge, The British Museum, the Emirates Stadium and the London 2012 Olympics main stadium.
As a state-of-the-art analysis and design tool STRAP can transform even the most imaginative architectural designs to workable structural models. With over three decades development STRAP software has become a sophisticated, comprehensive, easy to use and cost effective structural engineering program for the construction industry.
STRAP which currently used by thousands of engineers in more than 50 countries around the world gives unequaled value time after time.
Geotechnical software GEO5 developed by Fine Civil Engineering Software is a competitively priced but powerful software suite for solving geotechnical problems based on traditional analytical and finite element methods.
The suite consists of 38 programs with a common and user-friendly interface. Each program analyses a specific geotechnical task ranging from slope stability to stratigraphy to consolidation. All programs in the suite are integrated which makes passing input and/or output between programs seamless.
GEO5 software provides solutions for stability analysis, excavation design, retaining wall design, foundation design, soil settlement analysis, digital terrain model and geotechnical finite element modelling.
